Welcome to "Sykeones Papasotiriou" (Papasotiriou Fig Orchards). It has been 70 years since we started farming our specialty Vasilika (Royal) Figs!
Decades have passed, but our passion and values have remained the same. We continue to plant, nurture and harvest in the only way we know how - the way nature intended- 100% organic, delicious, premium quality figs.
Our product is a historic fig variety that naturally grows in the Attica peninsula and is
known as Vasilika Mavra Syka Markopoulou (Markopoulo Royal Black Figs), certified as a PGI product. It is the fig variety that Greeks have loved the most throughout the years - available since before Homeric times these specialty figs have a sweet, full taste and were basic in the diet of ancient Athenians, along with olives and grapes.

Figs are peeled and cooked with sugar and concentrated lemon juice. No preservatives or other additives are used. This jam is perfect for any breakfast and matches ideally cold meat or cheese platters, green salads, roast duck or tenderloin, red wine and more.
