COMPANY PROFILE
KANDYLAS S.A.is a company with a rich tradition of producing traditional Greek delights.
The current owners great grandfather originated from Smyrna. He had a factory processing raisins, alcohol, condensed must syrup, tahini and sesame oil. After the destruction of Asia Minor Hellenism, the grandfather, Ioannis Kandylas came to Thessaloniki, where in 1927 he created a small factory producing caramel, vaffles, halva and other delights.
In 1940, the factory is destroyed by a fire and Ioannis Kandylas moves to Veria, where with his son Nikolaos, father of the current owner, he continues the production of the tahini, halva and loukoumi.
In 1981 Stylianos Kandylas, the grandson and current owner becomes the Adminstrator of the company and extends the product range with Greek traditional delights in syrup and other products.
The company has completed an investment plan with the construction of a new production unit covering 5500 m2, where other products like sesame snacks, jams and fruits in syrup can be produced.
The primary goal of the company is the production of traditional hand-made products in accordance with high quality standards, with regard to the choice of the row materials as well as to the hygiene conditions in the production areas, and to the selected packaging, combining tradition with new technology.
The companys philosophy about our clients is based on the creation of cooperations af mutual respect.
Kandylas Company, always with respect to quality and respect for the consumer, adheres to the hygiene rules of storage of raw materials, production and packaging of products, and storage of finished products.
The parts of the production unit operate under optimal conditions to ensure the correct product quality.
Our company is certified with ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 22000: 2005 as well as with certificate for production of Organic products from Organization BIO Hellas.
